Slim and Toned Thighs Can be Yours

A thigh lift removes excess skin and fat from your inner thighs, outer thighs, and knees. It is often done after significant weight loss or to address laxity changes that have occurred during the natural aging process.

The Benefits

  • Smooth away excess skin and fatty tissue from your thighs
  • Create toned and firm thighs
  • Minimize painful thigh chafing
  • Sculpt slender and balanced thighs

Types of Thigh Lifts

Dr. Firouz is proud to offer a wide range of surgical techniques and thigh lift procedures in Beverly Hills

Inner Thigh Lift

This procedure is also known as the medial thigh lift. It very effectively addresses sagging skin on your inner thighs.

Mini Thigh Lift

A mini thigh lift is appealing for many of our Beverly Hills patients because it requires fewer incisions. It is ideal if you only want to address your upper inner thighs.

Outer Thigh Lift

As the name suggests, this procedure slims and contours your outer thighs. It can be done on its own or with an inner thigh lift.

Vertical Thigh Lift

If you need to remove a substantial amount of excess skin, Dr. Firouz may recommend the vertical thigh lift. This approach requires extensive incisions, but it can address excess skin and fat throughout your thighs and down to your knees.

The Procedure

Your thigh lift in Beverly Hills with Dr. Firouz will be done under general anesthesia. Once the anesthetic has taken effect, Dr. Firouz will take great care to hide the incisions so that the resulting scar is imperceptible. Typically, he will place it in the groin area, just above your bikini line. He may extend the opening toward the buttocks and around your thigh if he needs more access to the underlying tissue. If your knee also needs to be lifted, he will create incisions along the inside of the leg. Through those carefully placed openings, Dr. Firouz will:

  • Remove excess skin, fat, and tissue
  • Tighten the nearby muscles
  • Place deep sutures to support the area

Once the procedure is complete, he will place drainage tunes to help minimize swelling and clear away excess fluids.

Your Recovery

Most patients can return home the same day to begin the recovery process, but some will need to stay in the hospital for a day or two for extended monitoring. You will also wear a compression garment for several weeks to support your new shape and minimize swelling.

For about two weeks, you should stay home from work and avoid driving. You should return to your normal daily activities within six weeks and more strenuous activities shortly after that.

Thigh LiftFAQ

What are the risks of a thigh lift?

When your thigh lift is performed by an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon, it is a very safe procedure. Rare risks and side effects include hematoma and poor wound healing.

Am I a candidate?

If you are healthy and at a stable weight, there is a good chance that you are a candidate for a thigh lift. People who should not have this procedure include patients who:

  • Have vascular diseases
  • Have a history of varicose vein operations
  • Are in poor health
  • Have diabetes

When will I see the results?

Your initial results will be obscured by the post-surgical swelling. You can expect to see the full results of your thigh lift at six months, once all swelling is gone.
