Smooth Your Facial Skin. Turn Back the Hands of Time.

The sun, stress, gravity, and other factors can cause your skin to age prematurely. The skin on your face and neck, particularly along the jawline, is especially susceptible to this process.

As wrinkles and other signs of aging gradually develop, you may find yourself looking older than you feel. When this occurs, a Beverly Hills facelift with Dr. Firouz can minimize wrinkles, improve your facial contours, and restore your youthful appearance.

Types of Facelifts

Mini Facelift

If you have mild jowls and sagging skin, you may be a candidate for a mini facelift. This less intensive technique allows Dr. Firouz to tighten your facial tissues through shorter incisions that are hidden along the hairline and above each ear.

Standard Facelift

This is the traditional facelift approach. It can address moderate to advanced signs of aging on the face and neck. The incisions are placed along the hairline and extend around each ear. The incisions are more extensive, and the recovery period is longer, but the results are also more dramatic than with a mini facelift.

Deep Plane Facelift

During the deep plane facelift, Dr. Firouz will adjust your deepest tissues and facial structures, including your muscles. This allows for deep lifting without tightly pulling on the skin’s surface. For many patients, this results in optimal anti-aging effects that look extremely natural.

The Procedure

Dr. Firouz will perform your facelift under general anesthesia. Most procedures begin with small incisions inside the hairline that follow the contour of your face to the front of your ear and extend to the lower scalp.

Through that fairly extensive opening, Dr. Firouz will separate tissue and fatty deposits, stretch and tighten your skin, and remove excess tissue. If your neckline requires attention, Dr. Firouz will make an additional incision under the chin.

Once he has rejuvenated and tightened your facial tissues, Dr. Firouz will place fine, absorbable sutures to close the incisions and minimize scarring.

Your Recovery

Immediately after surgery, Dr. Firouz will fit your face with bandages to minimize your recovery and swelling. As you heal, you will want to rest and limit movement. Some pain is to be expected, but you should be able to manage it with medication. Most of our facelift patients can return to work within one to two weeks.

FaceliftFAQ

Am I a candidate?

Ideal facelift candidates are in their 40s to 60s. They have signs of facial aging, but their skin is also relatively elastic. This is important, because you need somewhat firm skin that can drape along your new facial contours. It is also important to be in good general health and at a stable weight.

How long will my results last?

Your facelift results will be very long-lasting. Although you will continue to age, you will always look younger than you would have without the surgery. To preserve your new look for as long as possible, you want to maintain a stable weight. Any fluctuations can stretch your skin, which can impact your results. You will also want to follow a high-quality skincare regimen to protect your tissues from premature aging.
