Stronger Growth. Thicker Hair.

Hair loss is a common problem among men and women, especially as they age. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy can be an ideal, non-surgical approach to restoring thicker, stronger hair for many people with thinning hair and androgenic alopecia. The treatment involves three steps:

  • Drawing your blood
  • Processing your blood in a centrifuge to separate the PRP
  • Injecting the PRP into your scalp

Plasma contains powerful growth factors that can strengthen hair follicles and stimulate natural growth.

The Procedure

Your PRP hair transplant in Beverly Hills will be done in the comfort of Dr. Firouz’s office. The experience should be fairly comfortable and last between one and two hours.

To begin, he will apply a numbing agent to prevent pain and discomfort. From there, he will draw between 10 and 60 mL of blood from your arm. Then, he will place it in a centrifuge to extract the platelet-rich plasma and inject the PRP into the areas of your scalp where you want to stimulate growth.

Your Recovery

There is no downtime after a PRP hair transplant. You can immediately return to work and your normal daily routine.

PRP vs. NeoGraft FUE

PRP and NeoGraft FUE are two of the most popular hair restoration techniques available today, but they are very different from each other.

PRP works by stimulating your natural hair growth, while NeoGraft FUE transfers your hair follicles to problem areas on your scalp. Both are effective, but they have different pros and cons.

PRP involves no downtime, but you will need to undergo multiple treatments. NeoGraft FUE is a more intensive approach that is not right for every patient, but it also results in marked hair regrowth.

Ultimately, choosing between PRP and NeoGraft FUE is a personal decision. During your initial consultation at his Beverly Hills office, Dr. Firouz can guide you toward the procedure that is the right fit for you.
